Trikone Atlanta is a social and support group for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender people of South Asian heritage and their friends in the Southeastern United States. South Asia comprises of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tibet and the Diaspora.
Through social and political activities, Trikone offers a supportive, empowering, and non-judgmental environment where queer South Asians can meet, make connections, and proudly promote awareness and acceptance of their sexuality in society. Trikone actively works against all forms of oppression based on race, gender, class, and other identities. |

Objectives
Trikone Atlanta works towards the following objectives:
- Bring people of South Asian heritage together in a friendly, supportive, and non-judgmental environment.
- Promote awareness, visibility and acceptance of alternative sexuality in society.
- Proudly affirm both South Asian identity as well as sexual identity.
- Oppose discrimination based on race, gender, class and other identities.

Membership
To become a member of Trikone Atlanta, the applicant must:
- Be or be a friend of someone who identifies as South Asian, either Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans, or Questioning, and must live in the Southeastern section of the United States (including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, the Carolinas, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia).
- Fill out a membership form completely.
- Agree that certain voting privileges will be restricted to those members who are SA GLBTQ, as this may be required to keep Trikone in alignment with its original purpose.
You may download the membership application. Once you have completely filled out the application, please email the application and a member of our Welcoming Committee will contact you as soon as possible.
